The Project Logistics Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Project Logistics sector. With a strong understanding of the market, they focus on customer engagement, collaborating closely with the Pricing and Customer Excellence teams, while managing their own portfolio of key accounts.
How you create impact
- To qualify and generate new business opportunities with a clear focus on Projects, breakbulk and out of gauge (OOG) shipments
- To develop, implement + continuously improve strategies, customer account plans and maintain a business pipeline to gain market share
- To achieve assigned sales budgets and targets
- To provide a clear value proposition to customers by leveraging our competitive advantages
- To monitor our competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing & products
- To build a strong network with external key stakeholders; collaborate + engage with internal stakeholders
- To align with the Customer Excellence Team when onboarding new customers; implementation of standard operating procedures + key performance indicators (SOP/KPI) as well as quarterly business review (QBR) preparation and execution
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years’ experience in Freight forwarding / Project Logistics.
- Proven track record in Sales or Business Development, with strong customer focus and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong ability to build customer value propositions and maintain key client relationships.
- Ambitious and motivated to succeed, with a strong will and a results-oriented mindset.
- Good command of English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in engaging with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
