As a Junior Legal Counsel IT Law, you will help shape the future of Kuehne+Nagel's digital landscape. By providing practical legal advice on technology, software, cloud services, AI solutions and digital innovation initiatives, you will contribute to strategic transformation projects across a global organization. Working alongside experts from IT, Procurement, Information Security, Data Privacy and Digital Products, you will help balance innovation and legal risk while supporting the technologies that drive our business forward.
How you create impact
- Draft, review and negotiate technology-related agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, Provide practical legal advice on IT law, digital transformation initiatives, software solutions, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
- Support global technology procurement and digital projects by identifying legal risks and enabling business-focused solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on data protection, information security, intellectual property and technology governance matters.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of contract templates, negotiation playbooks and legal guidance materials.
- Support compliance with applicable technology, cybersecurity, AI and data protection regulations.
- Contribute to legal operations initiatives, including contract lifecycle management, legal automation and AI-enabled solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, IT, Procurement, Information Security and Digital Product teams in an international environment.
What we would like you to bring
- Law degree (JD, LLB, LL.M., Wirtschaftsjurist) or equivalent
- Up to 3 years of professional experience in IT law, technology law, commercial law, data protection or technology transactions.
- First experience drafting and negotiating commercial or technology-related agreements is desirable
- Knowledge of software licensing, cloud services, AI, data protection or technology procurement is a strong advantage.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Ability to translate legal risks into practical business recommendations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Business fluent English required; German is a strong advantage.
