At Kuehne+Nagel, we’re looking for a Global Project Logistics Operations Manager (f/m/d) to orchestrate complex operations on a worldwide stage. How you create impact

  • Develop and implement global operational strategies aligned with the Project Logistics Roadmap, ensuring optimized and standardized processes across all assigned countries.
  • Lead and continuously improve operational teams (Pricing, Customer Excellence, Revenue Care, Project Control Towers, and Operational Care Centers) to ensure profitability and high-quality service delivery.
  • Drive process optimization and operational excellence, including procedure standardization, continual improvement initiatives, profitability analysis, and project controlling.
  • Support customer and business implementations by managing onboarding processes, deploying standard operating procedures, and fostering strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate extensively with global and national teams, including functional units (Air, Sea, Road, Contract Logistics, Finance, QSHE), key account management, customers, suppliers, carriers, and service centers.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in dynamic logistics environments, including on-site project oversight, direct interaction with operational teams, and active participation in improvement initiatives.
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and innovation across project logistics operations.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in growth strategy and change management, ensuring successful adaptation to evolving business needs.

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of transport and logistics processes, ideally gained in a freight forwarding environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project logistics operations, including leadership of direct and virtual teams and implementation of operational excellence initiatives in an international context.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow, Green, or Black Belt preferred).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute SOPs, analyze tenders/RFQs, and apply HSE requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to coordinate operational activities and customer implementations.
  • Fluent English skills (C1 level or higher); additional languages are an asset.
