As a Trade Specialist within our Sea Logistics organization, you will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of trade strategies across the Transpacific Eastbound trade. Working closely with regional teams in Europe, Singapore, and North America, you will help drive volume growth, carrier performance, and commercial excellence while ensuring alignment across key stakeholders. How you create impact
- Support the execution of trade strategies and daily activities across the assigned trade lane, collaborating closely with teams in Europe, Singapore, and North America.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and carrier partners to secure competitive commercial agreements and service levels.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with carriers, monitor performance, and support the resolution of operational and commercial escalations.
- Coordinate and support RFQ and tender activities, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, carrier performance, capacity developments, and trade data to identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and business insights for internal stakeholders, supporting trade reviews and performance discussions.
- Collaborate closely with sales, pricing, allocation, and operational teams to drive volume growth and maximize trade performance.
- Manage key trade information platforms and reporting tools while maintaining visibility of carrier allocations, contract commitments, and commercial performance metrics.
What we would like you to bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sea freight, freight forwarding, shipping lines, carrier management, or a related logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of international ocean freight operations, including FCL, LCL, import, and export processes.
- Proven commercial acumen with experience negotiating with carriers, suppliers, or key business partners.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actions.
- Experience supporting tenders, RFQs, pricing activities, or procurement-related processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools; familiarity with market intelligence platforms is an advantage.
- Fluent English is required; additional languages such as German, French, or other European languages are considered a plus.
