Join our Expo & Events Logistics team and take ownership of end-to-end road transport operations across Europe. In this role, you will manage shipments from the initial request and quotation through carrier sourcing, execution, documentation, invoicing, and final closure. Your customers will primarily be other Kuehne+Nagel Expo & Events teams, and you will work closely with them to deliver reliable, cost-effective transport solutions for exhibitions and events. 

How you create impact

• Manage the full road transport process across Europe, from the first request and quotation to delivery, invoicing, and shipment closure. 
• Work directly with Kuehne+Nagel Expo & Events teams to understand their requirements, clarify shipment details, and develop the most suitable transport solution. 
• Source available capacity, request and compare quotations, negotiate rates, and appoint carriers and subcontractors based on service, cost, reliability, and operational needs. 
• Prepare transport quotations and orders, coordinate collections and deliveries, and keep all parties informed throughout the shipment. 
• Monitor each transport closely, respond quickly to changes or disruptions, and find practical solutions to keep time-sensitive exhibition and event shipments on track. 
• Ensure shipment data, transport documents, supplier costs, customer charges, and supporting records are complete and accurate in the relevant Kuehne+Nagel systems. 
• Check supplier invoices, prepare customer billing, and close shipments accurately and on time. 
• Build trusted relationships with internal Expo & Events teams, carriers, and transport partners, acting as a reliable point of contact for European road transport. 
• Contribute ideas that improve service quality, cost efficiency, and the way the team works. 

What we would like you to bring

• High school diploma; further education in logistics, transport, or a related field is an advantage. 
• Very good written and spoken English; another European language is an advantage. 
• Experience in European road transport, freight forwarding, dispatch, or a similar operational role. 
• Practical experience with carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, quotation preparation, and transport planning. 
• A good understanding of the full shipment life cycle, including transport documentation, cost control, supplier invoice checking, and customer billing. 
• Confidence in managing several time-sensitive shipments at the same time while keeping details accurate and priorities clear. 
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to take ownership from start to finish. 
• Clear and professional communication skills, with a natural focus on internal customer service and collaboration. 
• Experience with transport management, dispatch, or freight-forwarding systems is an advantage. 
• Good MS Office skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. 
• A curious mindset and willingness to suggest practical improvements to everyday operations.
