National Customs Implementation Manager

As National Customs Implementation Manager, you will oversee the onboarding of new clients, develops standardized customs procedures, and ensures regulatory compliance across all national operations. This role focuses on optimizing clearance processes, managing Brokerage-client integration, and driving technology adoption to enhance efficiency and minimize customs delays.

How you create impact

  • Implementation & Onboarding: Lead the integration of new clients and specialized projects, ensuring operational, technical, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement standard operational procedures (SOPs) for customs clearance to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with national customs regulations (e.g., CBP, CBSA), ensuring accurate classification, valuation, and documentation.
  • System Integration: Drive digital connectivity by implementing automation tools and client-specific IT solutions for customs entries.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (sales, operations), external clients, and customs authorities.
  • Reporting & Auditing: Monitor brokerage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as entry accuracy and rejection rates, and conduct regular internal audits

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and client implementation
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in customs software (e.g., ABI) and CRM systems
  • Deep understanding of HS codes, trade regulations, and free trade agreements
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills for interacting with authorities and clients
