Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist, Revenue Care

How you create impact

The Operational Care Center Specialist, Revenue Care is the responsible for daily Forwarding Subledger (FSL) handling and to ensure gross profit (GP) is maximized. They are the expert in detection and correction of financial discrepancies, which is a top priority and clear expectation. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are the measurements from which we gauge success. Root cause analysis and engagement with stakeholders to implement corrective actions is fundamental to the role. 

 

  • Manage daily FSL activity with the goal of minimizing month‑end deferrals.
  • Review all open files with a focus on maximizing gross profit.
  • Resolve excessive profit or loss files and escalate recurring issues to the supervisor.
  • Correct inaccurate accruals, ensure proper future accrual entries, and review historical accruals to prevent duplication.
  • Enter missing accruals in FSL as needed to ensure each file reflects its true financial position.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis on expected GP discrepancies to support improved AutoFSL performance.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to achieve gross profit targets.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of FSL KPIs and apply consistent effort toward meeting performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with the system process team to enhance automation and strengthen Operational Care workflows.

What we would like you to bring

  • 1+ years of experience in sea logistics with a solid understanding of operational and financial workflows
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, including accruals, revenue recognition, and gross profit analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies, interpret financial data, and support root‑cause investigations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing files, financial entries, and system data
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with time‑sensitive deadlines, especially around month‑end close
  • Proactive, solutions‑oriented approach with a focus on improving processes and supporting automation initiatives
