As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The Export Documentation Specialist will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all of the export regulations. Proper and timely filing to AES (Automated Export Systems). Also prevent any shipments to embargo countries. The Objective is to prevent FAA imposed fines on the company and ensure full compliance with all the export activities. Shift is Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

How you create impact

  • Adhere to all Kuehne+Nagel general working instructions and standard operating sheets for export.
  • Ensuring all documentation, quantity, part number, serial number is correct, and any other relevant data is correct.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quality-oriented environment
  • Create FedEx shipping labels for FedEx Express, Ground, LTL and Freight.  Create manual labels for manual forwarders or all other carriers.
  • Email CSR or customer for pricing issues, and any other export documentation requests
  • Proper Packaging Techniques
  • Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage and errors
  • Create manual or system generated commercial invoices.
  • Knowledge of the information provided on a commercial invoice.
  • Start to develop knowledge with the ECC / EU process in export.
  • Filing AES (Automated Export System) to customs.
  • Making copies for invoices
  • End of Line audits (EOL), Invoice and filing audits.
  • Maintain export logs and records
  • Update weekly/monthly metrics as required by management.
  • Scanning of commercial invoices into SAP.

What we would like you to bring

  • High School Education or Equivalent
  • Prior warehouse experience 1-3 years
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge/understanding of Warehouse Management Systems.       
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Languages -- English – Ability to speak, read, write, and interpret documents.
