Contract Logisitics Inventory Control Analyst- Des Plaines, IL

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The Inventory Control Analyst conduct analytical investigations and resolve discrepancies across all Customer sites in support of worldwide inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and required audits.

How you create impact

  • Assist with investigations to determine the root cause to properly disposition discrepancies
  • Create and work grief notifications for discrepancies that require assistance from other organizational groups through SAP workflow
  • Assist in providing cross-functional support to Finance, Logistics Agents, and Customer Service with inventory-related issues such as pick
    exceptions, grief notifications, RTS, and QC2 movements
  • Assist with the reconciliation of inventory-related issues such as s/n changes, adjustments, batch issues, block stock, and PO/MRA
    reversals
  • Process expedited parts through the Deployment Critical Hotsheet Database
  • Create scrap documentation for monthly metrics and physical scrapping of part
  • Process MRA’s, and cores to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Ensure all issues worked are entered into the corresponding database and required data is captured with integrity to formulate measurable for group metrics and reporting
  • Facilitate and participate in department meetings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

What we would like you to bring

  • High School Graduate / GED required.
  • Proficient in English
  • Computer skills necessary to operate Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and material logistics key business processes and governances
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate the workload of assigned areas and employees within a multiple project setting
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze and document
  • Ability to coordinate required workload
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees
  • Communication skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments
  • Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight
  • Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
  • Will be nice to have a Professional certification
  • Required related work experience.
