Contract Logistics Business Development Manager

The National Business Development Manager (Warehousing) plays a key role in driving new business growth across our warehousing and distribution solutions. This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new customer opportunities across key industry verticals.

We are open to those based in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane for this role. You will be working closely with senior sales leadership, you will focus on building a strong pipeline, developing tailored supply chain solutions, and winning new business in a competitive market.

 


Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within contract logistics and warehousing.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.

  • Engage with customers to understand supply chain requirements and develop tailored solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, engineering, and finance to deliver competitive proposals.

  • Lead commercial negotiations and close deals in line with company objectives.

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate forecasting.

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.


Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in business development OR Key Account Management role within contract logistics / warehousing.

  • Proven track record of winning new business within a 3PL environment.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain solutions across multiple industries (e.g. retail, FMCG, healthcare, industrial, technology).

  • Experience in selling solutions and developing customised logistics proposals.

  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Results-driven with a strong customer focus.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.
