As a Data Engineer (m/f/d), you will design, build, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using a modern stack (SQL, dbt, Python, Snowflake, GitLab, Dagster). You will join our Business Intelligence team in Porto and contribute to our Data Mesh architecture and Analytical Data Products.
How you create impact
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
- Work with BI developers and analysts to turn business needs into technical solutions.
- Design data models optimized for reporting.
- Automate documentation, use GitLab for version control, and support CI/CD processes.
- Monitor data workflows and ensure data quality.
- Improve query performance and pipeline efficiency.
- Contribute to Agile development processes.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years in data or analytics engineering.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling for BI.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools, especially dbt.
- Proficiency in Python and cloud data platforms (preferably Snowflake).
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab and Agile practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills in English.
- Experience with data quality and orchestration tools, MacOS/WSL, and exposure to Data Mesh concepts is a plus.
