The Credit Risk Team Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of a team of Credit Analysts, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution of all credit‑related tasks. The role acts as a key operational support function and ensures consistent quality of analysis and communication with internal stakeholders.
How you create impact
• Lead and support a group of Credit Analysts in daily credit operations.
• Review credit recommendations prepared by Credit Analysts based on financial analyses
• Ensure that credit policies, procedures, and KPIs are consistently followed.
• Support the Supervisor in implementing risk controls and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate routine communication with internal stakeholders (Sales, Branch Managers, Operations).
• Assist in resolving standard credit escalations before elevating to Supervisor.
• Prepare assigned reports, dashboards, and summaries
• Accountable for onboarding to CRM and training of new Analysts
• Promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and business records.
• Participate in periodic financial review meetings when needed.
• Assist with credit insurance requests and related administrative tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned to the role.
What we would like you to bring
- A University Degree or Diploma in business Administration, commerce, economics or related is required.
- Risk Management designation.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- 4 years of experience in Credit or Finance functions.
- Previous experience mentoring or coordinating team members is an asset.
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Good understanding of credit procedures and risk principles
- Proficiency in Excel and MS365
- High accuracy, structure, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork capability
- Ability to follow through on tasks independently
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
