Credit Risk Specialist

Take ownership of the Accounts Receivable function in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment—driving timely collections, building strong customer relationships, resolving issues end‑to‑end, and actively contributing to process improvements that directly impact cash flow and business performance.

How you create impact

Credit Risk Assessment & Account Setup
•    Process new credit applications in alignment with Credit Risk MOP, ICS, governance standards, and KN financial guidelines.
•    Conduct complete credit assessments, including financial analysis, credit rating reviews, Blue‑Chip testing, and insurance requirement evaluation.
•    Perform legal existence verification, creditworthiness checks, and insurance qualification for new accounts.
•    Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for contracts, approvals, financials, and credit assessments.

Credit Limit, Insurance & eCLA Management
•    Manage credit renewals timely, reviewing customer risk profile, insurance, overdue status, and contractual terms.
•    Apply for and manage primary and secondary insurance where required; ensure proper setup in ACON+.
•    Respond promptly to insurer reductions/cancellations; coordinate reinstatement efforts, coordinate & implement temporary measures if needed.
•    Review business cases and submit executive business case summary to the CoC with a recommendation considering commercial & financial risk analysis/factors.

Portfolio Monitoring & Credit Utilization Control
•    Monitor credit limit utilization proactively and act when accounts reach 80–90% usage.
•    Maintain minimal credit excess through continuous monitoring and stakeholder coordination.
•    Initiate credit limit increases & request insurance increases when justified and after overdue/unapplied cash issues are resolved.
•    Ensure correct account classification in ACON+ (e.g., Doubtful, Suspended) and maintain high-quality master data

Insurance Compliance & Claims Handling
•    Maintain compliance with insurance policies, ensuring proper credit insurance recording and timely notification of non-payment & submission of claims.
•    Gather required documentation and submit insurance claims within policy timelines.
•    Coordinate bankruptcy related tasks (POC filing, documentation, insurer and court communication).
•    Perform monthly follow up on open claims with the insurers until resolution is obtained.
•    Ensure ongoing monthly update & communication with insurers on overdue items and non-payment notifications.

Reporting & Month-End Responsibilities
•    Calculate provisions for credit insurance cost accruals.
•    Complete the month-end reporting package for assigned portfolios.

Stakeholder Support & Training
•    Promote credit processes and raise awareness based on customer/account risk.
•    Provide continuous guidance and training to stakeholders on credit processes, credit granting, CCM, and KN credit policies.

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in Credit Risk
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookup functions) considered a significant advantage
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle or similar platforms) is a plus
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in any additional language is considered an advantage
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑facing skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships
  • High level of personal accountability, with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a structured, solution‑oriented mindset
