The Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, picking/packing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

How you create impact

  • Supervise and coordinate unloading inbound shipments.
  • Develop, implement and direct programs to promote a safety culture on site and to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property is a priority.
  • Manpower analytical skills – daily and weekly staff planning and scheduling to make sure that each task has adequate resources.
  • Conflict resolutions – responsible for resolving customer shipping and receiving issues.
  • Analyze reports to ensure profitability of customer account.
  • Communicate to the workforce on a daily basis including shift briefs.
  • Manage the workforce within the Warehouse Operation to ensure an efficient operation is maintained.
  • Supervise picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of quality and productivity.
  • Supervise unloading, receiving and put away processes in accordance with K+N and customer procedures.
  • Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and errors.
  • Promote and manage a strong Continuous Improvement ethos to generate ideas and projects.
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
  • Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
  • Navigate around the local WMS (SAP) to ensure transactions and processes are completed in line with customer and K+N requirements.
  • Maintain product locator system, and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area and in line with internal K+N standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA an MSDS standards.
  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety by adhering to Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program policies and procedures.
  • Work with onsite customer representatives to ensure a smooth operation and to strengthen customer.
  • Deliver high level of service to customers.
  • Coordinate and maintain Training for employees.

What we would like you to bring

  • Minimum Education: Associate degree, Lean Six Sigma  certification a plus.
  • Preferred Experience: Two (2) year or four (4) year degree
  • Required Experience: Three (3) years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Proficient MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook).
  • Blue Yonder experience is preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience in a healthcare warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong motivational skills.
  • Establish priorities, multi-task and detail oriented.
  • Possess professional business demeanor.
  • Start-up experience is highly favorable.
  • Successful communication – written and verbal.
  • Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and provide leadership.
  • Experience with material handling equipment.
  • Analyze reports to ensure profitability of customer account.
  • Adherence to Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Fluent in English.
  • Overtime and weekends may be required.
  • 8 hours shift between 7:30 to 19:30- Be flexible.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
