The Contract Logistics Site Manager is responsible for the overall performance, leadership, and operational excellence of a warehouse site, ensuring customer, financial, safety, and people objectives are achieved.
This role provides end-to-end ownership of site operations, driving productivity, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and team performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
How you create impact
- Lead, plan, organise, and direct all warehouse operations across the site.
- Drive site performance against KPIs including productivity, cost management, service levels, quality, safety, and profitability.
- Ensure operational teams consistently deliver against customer, site, and people objectives.
- Lead customer onboarding, operational readiness, and ongoing customer retention activities.
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure operational excellence is maintained across all activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service performance.
- Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and operational excellence across the site.
- Contribute operational expertise to tenders, business proposals, and growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
- Develop and coach operational leaders, supporting succession planning and capability development.
- Monitor workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational performance to support customer demand.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across operations, engineering, transport, and customer management functions.
What we would like you to bring
- 7–12 years of experience within Contract Logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations.
- Previous experience managing large-scale warehouse operations or multi-functional logistics environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and frontline leaders.
- Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, productivity management, and operational performance.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Strong customer-facing capability with experience managing operational relationships.
- Commercial awareness with exposure to budgeting, cost management, and operational financial performance.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety, compliance, and quality management standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience within highly process-driven, high-volume operational environments is highly regarded.
