As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. You will be responsible for the overall performance of an operational site in order to achieve all agreed financial + operational objectives. The activities needed to deliver these objectives include:
How you create impact
- To manage, plan, organize, staff, transport sub-contractors (and company fleet + drivers where applicable).
- To work closely with warehouse teams, ensuring efficient handover of products, daily transport planning, + reporting.
- To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service + profit, safety + compliance in line with local legislation.
- To ensure your team(s) deliver against their customer, site + people key performance indicators (KPI).
- To drive all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence; collaborating at a site level.
- To drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous
- improvement at all times, ensuring your operation meets or exceeds their productivity targets.
- To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.
What we would like you to bring
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
- Basic proficiency in English communication (both written and spoken)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use of VLOOKUP functions
