As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. You will report to a Supervisor and move product throughout the site and load or unload materials using a reach truck, sit-down forklift, or other heavy material handling equipment. You will work Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM, and will be paid weekly at $22.97 per hour, plus a $0.5 shift differential.
How you create impact
- You will operate all three types of forklift equipment—order picker, reach truck, and sit‑down forklift—to load and unload trailers, pick orders, and move or store products throughout the warehouse
- Verify and receive materials in inventory
- Your responsibilities may include palletizing and shrink wrapping
- Conduct pre-operation and post-operation equipment checks
- Follow health and safety policies that comply with company and OSHA regulations
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
- Complete tasks in freezer and cold-storage areas as part of daily responsibilities
What we would like you to bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of recent experience operating all three forklift types—order picker, reach truck, and sit‑down forklift—is required
- Can lift up to 50 pounds
- Can work overtime or weekends
- Can walk or stand for extended periods of time
