How you create impact
In this customer-facing role, you will connect customers with sales, operational teams, and international colleagues. You will manage expectations, coordinate solutions, monitor service requirements, and ensure urgent or unexpected shipment issues are handled with clear communication and strong follow-through.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Sea Logistics import customers and build trusted, long-term relationships
- Coordinate with sales, back-office teams, international origin offices, and other internal partners to support customer requirements
- Monitor operational tasks, shipment milestones, and service commitments, following up to ensure timely completion
- Support customers with special requirements, urgent matters, shipment disruptions, and changing priorities
- Research problems, review available data, identify practical solutions, and communicate updates clearly and honestly
- Manage a high volume of email communication and use phone conversations when needed to resolve issues efficiently
- Use basic business and operational metrics to recognize trends, understand service performance, and support sound decisions
What we would like you to bring
We are looking for a customer-oriented and collaborative professional who can build strong relationships, understand business numbers, and solve problems effectively. Relevant logistics or freight forwarding experience is required, along with the ability to work confidently with customers and cross-functional teams.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics or freight forwarding, preferably supporting Sea Logistics import customers
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with operational reports, business metrics, and numerical information
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage internal and external interactions effectively
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with adaptability in dynamic situations
- Effective time-management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters, shifting demands, and multiple customer needs
- Business acumen and the ability to understand key performance drivers and support sound operational and commercial decisions
- Clear, professional communication skills, including the ability to explain complex or difficult information honestly
- Team-oriented approach and willingness to collaborate closely with local and international colleagues
- Mandarin or Cantonese language proficiency is preferred

This position is non-exempt and paid on an hourly basis, with a target pay range of $55,000 - $65,000 yearly.
