It's more than a job

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work truly contributes to more than we imagine.

How you create impact

As a Contract Logistics Information Systems Specialist  at Kuehne+Nagel, it’s more than just a job. You enable the systems behind our warehouses that keep supply chains moving every day. From everyday essentials to time-critical products, your work directly impacts customers, communities, and businesses nationwide. At Kuehne+Nagel, the solutions you build go beyond technology - they help deliver what matters most.

  • Providing professional WMS solutions for warehouse tenders, including core and surrounding systems.
  • Understanding and translating customer operational requirements into effective WMS solution designs.
  • Preparing system solution design documents to ensure feasibility and successful implementation.
  • Configuring WMS and surrounding applications to align customer needs with operational processes.
  • Delivering logical mappings for interfaces, integrations, and reporting.
  • Supporting new WMS implementations and existing operations, from design through go-live.
  • Managing change requests end-to-end: requirement discussions, system reconfiguration, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Training super users on WMS configuration techniques and new/existing functionalities.
  • Acting as a trusted WMS subject-matter expert for operations, customers, and internal stakeholders nationwide.

What we would like you to bring

  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS) within Contract Logistics or warehousing environments.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes (inbound, outbound, inventory, value-added services).
  • Experience supporting warehouse tenders, solution design, and system rollouts.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS configuration, testing, user training, and go-live support.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into scalable, operationally sound WMS solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, commercial, customers, IT).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain system concepts to non-technical users.
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience handling AI as part of a value added service would be a plus.
