How you create impact
The Customs Specialist is responsible for filling out the import document (ISF) required by the U.S. Customs, in which the data of the import cargo is detailed, it must be done under the requirements of quality and adequate delivery time. Some of the position expectations are the following:
- Complete all required U.S. Customs import documents, ensuring accurate and detailed cargo data in compliance with legal regulations.
- Maintain high standards of quality in documentation and ensure timely submission to meet operational deadlines.
- Assist with various operational tasks as needed, collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and process efficiency.
- Provide customer support via phone or electronic communication, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Anticipate potential issues with the Importer Security Filing (ISF) process and take preventive actions to avoid delays or non-compliance.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement actions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
What we would like you to bring
- High school diploma.
- Experience or studies in Logistics, Freight Forwarding or Customs.
- Intermediate/Advanced English level – written and oral.
- Intermediate Excel level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work overtime and/or on holidays.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Eagerness to grow and learn.
- Strong team player.
- Goal-oriented.
Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Training under a Hybrid work model.
This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
