How you create impact
The Customs Process Omtimization Specialist is responsible for continuously reviewing and improving customs operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, standardization, and automation. This role focuses on data-driven process optimization, waste elimination, increased system usage, and documentation, while collaborating closely with cross-functional and local stakeholders. The position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and innovation within KNGS Customs operations. You will make a difference in our Customs Department in combination of your set of skills and the following tasks:
- Continuously analyze and assess customs processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Design, implement, and monitor process improvements aligned with operational goals and quality standards.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to optimize workflows and performance.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, process documentation, and performance reports.
- Identify opportunities for automation (e.g., RPA and other tools) to increase productivity and accuracy.
- Support increased utilization of systems and digital solutions across customs operations.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Lead and manage cross-functional process improvement initiatives and projects from planning through execution.
- Coordinate stakeholders to ensure alignment, timely delivery, and successful implementation of initiatives.
- Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, managers, and local leadership to align improvement initiatives with business needs.
- Support training and knowledge transfer related to new processes, tools, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the customs organization.
- Define, track, and evaluate KPIs to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Monitor local process performance and prepare insights and recommendations for management.
- Handle confidential operational data and customer-related information with discretion and accuracy.
What we would like you to bring

High School Diploma required; studies in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs, or a related field are preferred.

Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).Experience in process improvement, operations, logistics, customs, or similar operational environments is preferred.

Ability to plan, execute, and control process improvement initiatives end to end.Strong capability to collect, analyze, interpret, and report data to support decision-making.

Knowledge or experience implementing automation technologies, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), is a plus.

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation or monitoring is desirable but not required.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to tools such as SQL, Tableau, and process management software (e.g., BizAgi, SAP) is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong problem-solving skills, including the use of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Hydrid work model.
This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
