How you create impact
We are seeking a highly motivated Road Logistics National & Dedicated Operations Team Leader to lead a team supporting daily transportation operations while actively contributing to operational execution. This role is responsible for driving service excellence, ensuring operational efficiency, monitoring key performance indicators, and developing team members to achieve business goals. The successful candidate will combine strong logistics expertise with leadership capabilities to deliver outstanding customer and operational results.
- Lead and support daily transportation operations, ensuring compliance with service levels, customer requirements, and operational targets.
- Coordinate load planning activities to optimize equipment utilization, routing efficiency, and service performance.
- Monitor operational and individual KPIs, driving improvements in productivity, quality, and response times.
- Identify operational risks, capacity constraints, and process inefficiencies, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational and customer-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular feedback, performance discussions, and training initiatives.
- Allocate workload and resources effectively to meet business demands and service commitments.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, compliance requirements, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, process owners, and business partners to maintain operational alignment and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present operational performance reports, highlighting trends, opportunities, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
What we would like you to bring
- Strong knowledge of Road Logistics transportation operations.
- Experience in Shipment Entry, Load Planning, Open Dock Management, and Delivery Request processes.
- Leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance operational production and people leadership responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience conducting performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
- Experience managing operational KPIs and service level agreements.
- English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of MS365 applications.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies (preferred).
- Basic / intermediate excel.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Under a Hybrid Work Model.
This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
