How you create impact
As a Road Logistics Specialist, you will support the successful execution of Road Logistics operations by monitoring and tracking shipments across the United States. You will use transportation management and tracking systems, interpret shipping documentation, and communicate directly with carriers to obtain accurate shipment information and ensure visibility throughout the transportation process. Some of the position expectations are the following:
- Oversee and coordinate the tracking of Road Logistics shipments within the United States, ensuring accurate and timely shipment visibility.
- Monitor shipment statuses directly with carriers through phone and email communication.
- Proactively inquire about shipment progress and ensure that accurate transit information is maintained for domestic shipments supporting U.S. accounts.
- Use transportation and monitoring systems, including TMS, RoadLog, and myKN, to manage, monitor, and track shipments.
- Review and interpret shipping documentation to support accurate shipment management and tracking.
- Apply knowledge of transportation regulations to support operational decision-making.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with internal stakeholders, Kuehne+Nagel stations, and industry carriers.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and shipment visibility.
What we would like you to bring
- High School Diploma
- Experience in freight forwarding (preferred).
- Technical or bachelor's degree in logistics (preferred).
- Familiarity with transportation management or shipment tracking systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in English (written and oral).
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools.
- Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective and persuasive communication
The schedule we offer: Monday to Friday 6:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Hybrid work model.
This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
