How you create impact

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customs Specialist to join our Admin Desk team to bring support either to United Stated and Canada. This role provides operational and strategic support for customs processes, focusing on documentation accuracy, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative work environment, support data analysis, and drive improvements in logistics operations by your supervisor.

 

  • Prepare and process import/export documentation including invoices, packing lists, and cargo control documents.
  • Create and submit customs entries using specialized software, ensuring accurate classification and coding of goods.
  • Review documentation for compliance with U.S. and Canadian customs regulations.
  • Monitor and report in-bond shipments, ensuring proper handling through bonded facilities.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, logistics teams, and customs authorities to resolve clearance issues.
  • Provide timely updates and support to customers regarding shipment status and customs requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of customs transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Follow SOPs, toolkits, and company guidelines related to Admin Desk operations.
  • Handle sensitive data and customer-specific information with confidentiality.
  • Support cost-saving strategies through efficient customs documentation and compliance.
  • Participate in training sessions and support migration of new processes.
  • Achieve performance KPIs including productivity, quality, and SLA targets.

What we would like you to bring

  • High school diploma required.
  • Professional Studies in Customs or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in a related field such Logistics, Freight Forwarding and/or customs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective and professional communication.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
  • Persuasive and collaborative mindset.

 

Work schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. WFH work model.

 

This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
