Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist, Import is responsible for managing day‑to‑day sea import operations, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all shipment activities from booking to final delivery.
How you create impact
Operational Execution
• Handle day-to-day sea import shipments, ensuring smooth and timely operations from arrival to final delivery.
• Execute bookings, enter orders into the system, and generate all required import documentation in accordance with KN governance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with overseas offices for green-light shipments and ensure timely coordination on shipment-level matters.
• Validate and follow up with carriers on arrival notices and carrier invoices to secure timely delivery order (DO) receipts.
• Ensure shipping instructions and all operational documents are complete, accurate, and compliant, addressing any deviations promptly.
Customer & Stakeholders Collaboration
• Communicate with customers on shipment-level updates, issues, and requirements to ensure service satisfaction.
• Collaborate with OKAM for key account shipments to support seamless execution and resolve operational concerns.
• Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers for import processes, including trucking, customs clearance, and delivery arrangements.
• Review routing changes in collaboration with CCL and service providers, rearranging KN services when required to meet customer or operational needs.
Vendor & Performance Monitoring
• Monitor and report operational performance of carriers and vendors, ensuring service quality and adherence to timelines.
• Maintain strong data quality to support timely and accurate customer reporting.
Issue Resolution
• Resolve day-to-day operational challenges and escalate critical issues as needed to ensure proper and timely resolution.
• Support the resolution of claims and disputes by providing accurate documentation and operational insights.
• Coordination & Service Arrangement
Other Responsibilities
• Check incoming vendor invoices and create sales invoices in accordance with financial guidelines and working instructions.
• Manage job file costing (FSL) accurately and ensure compliance with Financial Guidelines.
• Release cargo in line with financial approval processes and working instructions.
