National Finance Manager will be responsible to take on cluster accountability to oversee all financial aspects of the company, finance department and finance team, the flow of financial information to senior management and external parties in alignment with global financial strategy of Kuehne+Nagel.
How you create impact
Strategic Leadership, Commercial Business Partnering & Performance Ownership
- Act as a Finance Business Partner, shaping long-term strategies with management and translating insights into actions
- Apply strong commercial acumen to influence negotiations, contract terms, margins, working capital, and risk management
- Own financial evaluation of commercial decisions, ensuring transparency, governance, and business alignment
- Drive financial accountability and cost awareness across all functions, tracking performance against plans
- Partner with leaders to identify and deliver strategic priorities aligned with the company’s long-term vision
- Develop financial models to support forecasting, resource allocation, and performance evaluation
- Lead financial due diligence and support evaluation of inorganic growth opportunities
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation and growth strategies
- Oversee financial resources and resource planning
Financial Analysis
- Own the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial statements, management reports, and analyses prepared for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and actively manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure to optimize financial stability and efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, treasury and working capital, taxation, controlling, respective procurement processes, payroll and financial reporting in alignment with the KN Global Finance Operating Model.
- Where end-to-end finance processes sit within GS/KC; retain accountability to address quality issues and final resolution. Ensure seamless coordination between local finance, Global GS/KC Finance and other global finance functions.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting standards to protect assets, ensure compliance, and address control gaps promptly
- Coordinate with KCs, auditors, regulators, and legal teams on audits, compliance, and company secretarial matters, ensuring alignment with local regulations
- Drive continuous process improvements aligned with the finance operating model and GS/KC frameworks
- Stay updated on regulatory/reporting changes and ensure organizational readiness
- Hold signatory authority (directorship or power of attorney) across legal entities
People Leadership, Talent Development & Training
- Lead and guide the national finance team, fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Identify and actively develop high-potential talent, creating structured development plans and clear career pathways.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular meaningful performance reviews, and provide coaching and professional development opportunities to raise individual and team capability.
- Build a resilient team structure with succession plans in place for key finance roles.
- Oversee other functions (such as office administration) as defined by reporting lines.
What we would like you to bring
- Over 10 years of experience in Finance
- More than 5 years in leadership roles
- At least 3 years of experience in the logistics sector (or a similar service industry)
- Exposure to international work environments
