Are you a true hunter who thrives on winning new business and opening doors in the logistics and transport market? As Business Development Manager Distribution, you are responsible for driving significant commercial growth by acquiring new customers and expanding our presence across the Benelux region. You take ownership of the full sales cycle and play a key role in strengthening our distribution and road transport network
You are responsible for identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities within the distribution and road transport sector, with a strong focus on parcel, LTL and groupage solutions. You actively build your own pipeline, approach new prospects and convert opportunities into long-term customer partnerships.
You lead commercial opportunities end-to-end — from first contact and qualification to solution design, negotiation and contract signature. You work closely with internal engineering, operations and commercial teams to deliver competitive, customer-focused solutions while contributing to the long-term commercial strategy of the Distribution vertical.
How you create impact
- Proactively identify, target and win new customers, building a strong and sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
- Take full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, negotiation and contract signature.
- Lead commercial tenders and projects, coordinating internal stakeholders to deliver winning logistics solutions.
- Build and leverage a strong professional network to generate new leads and expand market presence.
- Drive the execution of the Distribution growth strategy, contributing directly to revenue and market share expansion.
- Develop compelling commercial proposals and ensure strong financial and operational alignment.
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to customers, positioning Kuehne+Nagel as their preferred logistics provider.
What we would like you to bring
- Strong track record in new business development within logistics or transport, ideally in road freight (LTL, groupage, parcel).
- Proven hunter mentality, with demonstrated success in acquiring new customers and closing deals.
- Highly driven, entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability for results.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in English; additional Benelux languages are a strong advantage.
