It's more than a job
When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.
How you create impact
- Manage end‑to‑end US–MX transportation and transshipment operations, including customs pre‑clearance, bonded transfers, and escort requirements. Coordinate closely with Laredo CCL and the Control Tower to ensure schedule adherence, minimize delays, maintain milestone integrity, and proactively manage exceptions in KN systems (Control LOG, myKN).
- Implement chain‑of‑custody and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols for high‑value IT equipment. Oversee priority deliveries and validate carrier compliance with all applicable regulations and security standards.
- Guarantee clean EDI/API data flows for hyperscaler customers. Utilize control panels and digital tools to improve ETA accuracy, enable predictive capacity planning, and enhance overall operational visibility.
- Serve as the operational point of contact for hyperscalers and OEMs. Collaborate with Sales and KAM to ensure smooth implementation, SLA compliance, and an exceptional customer experience.
- Manage P&L performance, including buy/sell rates, margin retention, and upselling of premium services. Implement cost‑of‑service improvements and increase asset/utilization efficiency across cross‑border operations.
- Achieve on‑time border clearance and site delivery; maintain zero damage/loss for IT equipment; maximize first‑time customs‑clearance rate; ensure data quality and timely exception closure; meet productivity and cost‑efficiency targets.
