IT Solution Engineer (Development)

As a Solution Engineer you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions that enhance warehouse operations. This role combines generic responsibilities with role-specific expertise. 

How you create impact

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Blue Yonder and KN SwiftLOG platforms, including architecture, APIs, and configuration options, to design optimal solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom application components, extensions, and services in line with platform and coding standards.
  • Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with KN security standards throughout development.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC principles and Agile methodologies during design and implementation.
  • Ensure all source code is secured and committed to the appropriate repository in preparation for release packaging and deployment.
  • Use monitoring and profiling tools such as MOCA Console and Trace Analyzer to proactively detect, isolate, and resolve issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on testing defects and implement appropriate resolutions.
  • Optimise solution performance, reliability, and maintainability through refactoring and technical debt management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and maintainability.

  • Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and relevant work experience.
  • Has some (1-4 years) of practical experience in the field.
  • Works mainly independently with general supervision
  • Provides expertise at the project / team level in respective area of responsibility
  • Works established procedures and uses modelling skills and documented best practises to meet required solutions.
  • Solves common problems with moderate scope and complexity
  • Knowledge of Blue Yonder, MOCA and Java
  • Fluent English
  • May support and mentor junior colleagues / trainees in the team
