How you create impact

 

  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering positive business connections. 
  • Perform analyses for both existing and potential customers to identify opportunities for growth, mapping in CoreLog via account intelligence. 
  • Maintain a strategic approach towards accounts and opportunities, focusing on specific lanes within a customer opportunity to maximise the likelihood of business conversion under strategic-based analysis on the relationship level, customer struggles, needs in specific lanes/bundles and solution-based. 
  • Lead business reviews for accounts on a regular basis, with support from other stakeholders in the BUs 
  • Regular customer-facing activities to further strengthen the relationship and further understand customers' and businesses` requirements to properly translate it into pricing and solutions.
  • Proactively seek out and engage customer prospects. 
  • Present, promote, and sell our products and services using compelling arguments. 
  • Conduct needs analyses to tailor solutions that meet customer requirements. 
  • Reach out to potential leads through cold calling and other channels 
  • Liaise with various stakeholders within the air logistics department to maximise business conversion. 
  • Engage in early stages of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to position our offerings effectively. 
  •  While hunting for new business is your primary focus, maintaining existing client relationships (farming components) remains part of your overall portfolio. Main sales KPIs are
  • Ensure strict adherence to global air logistics pricing guidelines during all tender phases, including the launching of forecast, prelaunch, pricing/submitting, and closing phases. 

What we would like you to bring

  • 15 years in freight forwarding, with a focus on airfreight preferred.
  • +10 years experience with a global top 10 freight forwarder/s.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing directly with GA & NA accounts and decision makers
  • Demonstrated experience in winning GA and NA accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex solution design and implementation
  • Managed a team across multiple locations
  • Proven track record in strategic customer development and managing national key accounts
  • Deep knowledge of air logistics operations, pricing models, and capacity management
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, IATA standards, and airline partnerships
  • Ability to design and execute customer development strategies aligned with national and global business goals
  • Skilled in contract negotiation, tender management, and solution design for large accounts
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior decision‑makers
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams (sales, operations, finance, customer service) to deliver customer solutions
  • Strong analytical skills for market intelligence, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and reporting platforms
  • Customer‑centric mindset with focus on building long‑term partnerships
