As an Air Logistics Operational Care Specialist, our team is growing, if you will be responsible for executing and managing operational activities related to air freight shipments, ensuring service excellence, operational accuracy, and timely delivery according to customer requirements and Kuehne+Nagel standards. You will play a key role in maintaining shipment visibility, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing operational exceptions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.
How you create impact
• Execute air freight operational activities accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and operational procedures.
• Monitor shipments throughout the transportation lifecycle and maintain accurate visibility and updates within Kuehne+Nagel systems.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve operational deviations while proactively communicating with customers and stakeholders.
• Review customer instructions and shipment requirements to ensure compliance with routing, transit times, regulatory requirements, and service commitments.
• Collaborate closely with airlines, gateways, warehouses, customs teams, Customer Care teams, and other partners to ensure seamless shipment execution.
• Monitor carrier performance and support escalation processes when service levels are not achieved.
• Support profitability through cost awareness, operational efficiency, and accurate financial data management.
• Contribute to process optimization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Care teams during customer onboarding and account implementation activities to ensure a smooth transition into operations.
What we would like you to bring
• Experience in air freight, freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related operational roles.
• Knowledge of international air cargo processes, shipment coordination, and operational execution.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with airlines, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on operational excellence and service quality.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency B2+.
