How you create impact
The Air Logistics Operational Care Center Manager is responsible to drive the OCC strategy by delivering excellent, customer-centric operational execution while maximizing profitability. Solutions oriented, sustainable and optimized, technology driven management of all OCC activities is critical. The OCC manager is responsible to lead and develop the OCC team. Engagement in business development activities by driving solutions and procurement is necessary, in full alignment with other stakeholders.
- Lead the Operational Care Center (OCC) with integrity and professionalism, serving as a role model for all team members
- Provide clear leadership, strategic direction, and day‑to‑day guidance to the operational care organization
- Ensure operational excellence by delivering high quality service to meet our service commitments to clients
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to shape pricing strategies and support sustainable business growth
- Maximize profitability through effective cost management and operational optimization
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering innovative solutions that enhance cost efficiency while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Oversee procurement and supplier management activities in alignment with the governance model between the gateway and OCC, where applicable
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service teams to deepen customer understanding and exchange insights on service performance
- Work cross‑functionally with KNGS, gateway, warehouse, customs, optimization teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless operational execution
- Champion the effective use of technology and systems, ensuring team structures and knowledge‑sharing practices support consistent, high‑quality service delivery
- Monitor and analyze OCC performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, product guidelines, and internal KN policies

What we would like you to bring
- 5+ years of airfreight experience with strong knowledge of freight forwarding, operational processes, and import/export regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- Proven communication skills and strong commercial acumen
- Experience leading or developing teams, with the ability to manage performance and drive results
- Demonstrated ability to manage change, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure
- High attention to detail with strong planning, organizing, and workflow‑management capabilities
- Continuous‑improvement mindset with a track record of optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency
- Strong decision‑making skills and the ability to balance competing priorities
- Deep understanding of the airfreight market, including carrier relationships and industry dynamics
- Flexible, resilient, and able to adapt to evolving operational demands

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
