How you create impact

The Air Logistics Airport Warehouse Specialist supports daily warehouse operations at our JFK facility, helping ensure air freight is received, processed, stored, and moved safely and accurately. This role combines hands-on warehouse work with the use of forklifts, scanners, computers, and warehouse management systems.

You will support the movement of general cargo as well as specialized shipments including pharmaceutical and perishable freight while working closely with the warehouse team to keep operations running efficiently.

 

  • Load, unload, receive, move, and stage freight within the warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Use scanners, computers, and the warehouse management system to receive, track, and process freight.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain accurate inventory and shipment information.
  • Pick, pack, palletize, and prepare freight for storage or transportation.
  • Follow established procedures when handling dangerous goods, bonded cargo, and other specialized shipments.
  • Identify shipment or documentation discrepancies and escalate issues when needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.

What we would like you to bring

  • Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or similar hands-on experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience using warehouse management systems, scanners, or other warehouse technology
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using work email and system updates
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process shipment information
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with limited supervision
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work overtime based on business needs
  • High school diploma or technical degree
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

 

This position is based onsite in Jamaica/Queens, NY.

 

This is a union-represented position covered by Teamsters Local 295 and is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

 

This position offers up to $25.00 per hour, with starting pay based on experience, skills, internal equity, the applicable collective bargaining agreement, and business considerations.

 

This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
