In this role you will drive the development and growth of Kuehne+Nagel's Aerospace & Defence offering in the Netherlands. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will leverage your industry knowledge to develop customer-focused logistics solutions, identify growth opportunities, and ensure the highest standards of reliability, security, and compliance. How you create impact
- As the National Air Logistics Product Manager Aerospace & Defense, you will be responsible for the further development, optimization, and growth of our Aerospace & Defense services within Air Logistics Netherlands.
- You will act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for both customers and internal stakeholders. You will support commercial initiatives, advise on complex logistics challenges, and contribute to developing innovative solutions that meet the specific requirements of this sector.
- In addition, you will play a key role in strengthening our position within the Defense segment.
- You will monitor developments within defense-related supply chains, maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, and ensure that our services comply with the high standards for quality, security, and regulatory compliance required in this market.
What we would like you to bring
You are analytical, entrepreneurial, and possess strong communication skills. You are energized by developing specialized logistics solutions and are able to combine commercial opportunities with operational and technical expertise.
In addition, you bring:
- A completed Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within Air Logistics;
- Proven experience within the Aerospace sector;
- Knowledge of or experience with Defense Logistics, Ministry of Defense (MoD)-related logistics, or defense-related supply chains is highly desirable;
- Previous service within the military, preferably in a logistics function, is considered an advantage;
- Knowledge of quality, security, and compliance processes within logistics environments;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into improvement initiatives;
- Excellent command of the English language. Proficiency in Dutch is considered an advantage;
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
