The Accounts Receivables Team Lead plays a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive team culture while ensuring alignment with departmental goals. This position supports daily AR operations through mentorship, collaboration, and process oversight, acting as a bridge between team members and leadership. As a cultural ambassador, the Team Lead promotes engagement, peer support, and a customer-focused mindset, while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration to enhance overall AR performance.
How you create impact
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment through engagement initiatives and peer support
• Act as a key point of contact for to assist with clarification on AR processes, systems, and best practices, offering guidance and support to team members
• Assist the AR Supervisor in managing daily operations, aligning team efforts with departmental goals, and ensuring smooth workflow execution
• Mentor and coach team members to build skills and confidence; support onboarding and training of new hires for seamless integration
• Lead by example with a strong focus on professionalism, accountability, and customer service excellence
• Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with leadership to implement process enhancements
• Support Manager/Supervisor by monitoring HRC analytics, workflows, and escalations to ensure timely resolution; assist in preparing AR reports and performance metrics
• Support Specialists/ Advanced Specialists with resolving escalated issues; resolve escalated client issues that could not be resolved by the team with professionalism; maintain effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in cross-departmental projects and initiatives to drive operational improvements and ensure cohesive teamwork
• Support the Supervisor/ Manager with resource planning
• Other duties as assigned
What we would like you to bring
- Post-Secondary Education (Business or Credit)
- Minimum 3+ years working experience in Credit and/or Collections functions on leadership positions
- Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work through complex processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-structured with strong organizational and time management skills
- Hands-on, team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
- Conflict management and resolution skills
